Jeffco Public Schools continuedan end-of-school-year tradition with a music video produced by the district’s Communications Department.

“We really wanted to make this one as epic as possible,” explained Jeffco Public Schools Multimedia Journalist Jack Maher in describing “Everybody Dance!”

Maher teamed up once again with Warren Tech’s video production unit to create the video. Nearly two dozen Jeffco schools, departments, and events are featured in the piece, which highlights a wide range of dance moves by Jeffco students, staff and parents. Jeffco Superintendent Dan McMinimee is featured in much of the footage, along with nearly all of Jeffco’s principals and department heads.

“These folks were so gracious, taking time out of a big leadership meeting in our Board of Education room to help me out,” said Maher.

Some of the material was produced professionally by Maher and Warren Tech, while some was submitted in response to an open invitation to the Jeffco Public Schools community.

The video is airing on JPS-TV, Jeffco’s Official YouTube Channel and was completed in time for the district’s last day of school. Watch it here.

“I hope everybody gets a kick out of it,” said Maher. “These students, teachers and staff work so hard all school year long. I wanted to send them off on summer break with something light, fun and entertaining. It’s my way of thanking them.”

Maher started JPS-TV’s end-of-school-year music video tradition last year, with his “Please Just Come Back Safe” video which had a summer safety theme.
