Nearly 600 Jeffco Public Schools employees were honored at the Arvada Center at the 2015 Values Awards, a gala event highlighting their dedication to the district. Employees were recognized for Exemplary Performance, Teamwork, Integrity, or Valuing People.
Jeffco Schools Transportation Director Greg Jackson hosted the event, which included remarks by Terry Elliott, Chief School Effectiveness Officer, and a keynote speech by Wheat Ridge High School Principal Griff Wirth.

“I really believe that Jeffco is a place with great employees, great workers. I think the greatness comes from the heart. I think that when we have this opportunity to honor them and celebrate the great things that they do with kids, the differences that they make, it’s a humbling experience for me,” said Wirth.

Wirth said Jeffco is fortunate to have exemplary employees who reach students in a variety of ways, including teachers, principals, food service staff, transportation staff, and central administration employees. Organizers said the Values Awards provide an opportunity to highlight a wide range of outstanding employees for the superior work they do each and every day. The names of the honorees were inscribed on digital certificates which scrolled on giant display screens throughout the evening.

The gala also featured a special performance from Dakota Ridge singer/songwriter Ali Rose Klassen. Klassen performed two songs, including her hit “Extraordinary,” which she dedicated to those in attendance.
